Dr. Morgan Weintraub
Dr. Morgan Weintraub is a southern California native who knew from an early age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Weintraub attained a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Cornell University prior to completing her degree in veterinary medicine at UC Davis in 2012.
During veterinary school, Dr. Weintraub developed a passion for canine and feline medicine, working in the UC Davis hospital on holidays and volunteering at the Sacramento SPCA. This interest in canine and feline medicine was strengthened during Dr. Weintraub’s internship at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group (VMSG). During her internship, Dr. Weintraub met and was mentored by Dr. Jan, Dr. Jill, Dr. Nicci, and Dr. Kate. Dr. Weintraub also fell in love with Ventura and hoped one day to return and call it home.
Dr. Weintraub has a strong interest in veterinary emergency medicine and urgent care and was thrilled to join the Ohana family full-time in May of 2016 as an urgent care doctor. One of the things that is particularly appealing to Dr. Weintraub about working at Ohana is the opportunity to work closely with many local rescue groups to help pets in need.
In her spare time, Dr. Weintraub loves spending time with her fiancé Clayton and their animals (both rescues) – a Boston Terrier named Bella and her geriatric cat, Stripe. Dr. Weintraub enjoys many outdoor activities, including hiking, scuba diving, and cycling.
