Dr. Lisa Kentfield

In April 2019, Ohana Pet Hospital extended its professional family to include Dr. Lisa Kentfield who has joined the hospital’s general practice.

Originally from Orange County, Dr. Kentfield earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Humboldt State University. She went on to teach at community college and worked as a veterinary technician before attending UC Davis to earn her Master’s degree in Animal Biology and ultimately continuing on to the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Kentfield completed a one-year rotating internship at a local veterinary emergency and veterinary hospital. Dr. Kentfield resides in Ventura with her husband, Nathan, cat, Aja and a leopard gecko named Saffron. When she’s not doing what she can to help our patients, Dr. Kentfield spends most of her time outdoors either hiking, rock climbing, or bird watching. She and her husband also enjoy home-brewing beer, traveling, and watching hockey.
